Sharon Stephens Brehm is Professor of Psychology in the Clinical Science and Social Psychology programs at Indiana University Bloomington. She received her B.A. and Ph.D. from Duke University and an A.M. from Harvard.

After 15 years on the psychology faculty at the University of Kansas, Professor Brehm served as dean of the Harper College of Arts and Sciences at SUNY Binghamton, provost at Ohio University, and chancellor of the Indiana University Bloomington campus. She has also been an Intra-University Professor at the University of Kansas, a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, and a visiting professor in Germany and Italy.

In addition, Professor Brehm has served four terms on the Executive Committee of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology (APA Division 8), two terms representing Division 8 on the APA Council of Representatives, and two terms on the APA Finance Committee. She is a Fellow of Division 8; a member of Divisions 1, 2, 7, 9, 12, 35, 52, and 53; a member of the Indiana Psychological Association; and was inducted into the University of Kansas Women’s Hall of Fame.
